My First ever live journal!

My name is Jackie, I am 22 years old and I am currently studying second year BT/BA- Humanities. My life revolves around uni, my family (including my gorgeous dogs Gucci who is a maltese and Sunny who is a shih tzu) and my friends- as does everyones life =)

I love listening to music and reading. I think I am more introverted than extroverted (or so my personality test told me) and I like listening to people. I also like speaking to my dogs. Do other people? I definitely think so! It's just that alot of people don't admit to it hehe

The aims in my life are to: a) finish uni successfully! b) become a teacher and really work closely with other teachers and students c) go on a world tour d) raise another dog! and e) live life to the greatest extent that I can. Included in becoming a teacher is being able to work overseas. 90% of my family is in South Korea and although I was born here, I'd like to go to Korea and experience how it is to be a teacher there.

What attracted me to literature... Well, in primary school I wanted to be an author. I used to read Nancy Drew books, Trixie Beldon books, the Anne of Green Gables series and so much more! When I was younger I loved to read Enid Blyton books. Reading was always a part of my life.

During high school my goal changed from wanting to become an author to doing something in psychiatry. I wanted to help people and to try to understand the intricate workings of the human mind. So I graduated high school and went on to do psychology at uni. One year into it, I realized that maybe it wasn't the right thing for me and really thought hard about where I wanted to be in say, 10 years time. I came to the understanding that I would like to be someone actively helping students to learn as I had. Hence I changed my course to BT/BA. I found I could do that by teaching literature. I could take my love of books, reading and literature and teach it to others and accompany them in their journey of learning.

So here I am. And this is my journal.
